  1. Where are lessons held?
    My home studio, located in the Myers Park area of Charlotte, NC. I will email you the address once you schedule a lesson.
    I do not currently do virtual or travel lessons, but virtual lessons are currently in development.
  2. What is the pricing for lessons?
    30-minute lessons are $20, 45-minute lessons are $35, and 60-minute lessons are $50.
    Payment can be made by either bringing cash at the start of a lesson, or by paying me virtually BEFORE the lesson starts.
  3. How do I schedule/cancel lessons?
    Lessons must be booked 24 hours in advance. Use the lesson scheduler below, or reach out directly if you need help.
    Cancellations must be made 12 hours in advance, otherwise the cost of your lesson will be applied as a "no-show" fee.
  4. What can I work on in my lesson?
    Anything you want! Rudiments, technique, sight-reading, specific pieces, ensemble playing, musicianship, and music theory are all topics I have experience teaching. I actually encourage students to bring in concepts that might challenge me!
    I am one of very few private lesson teachers that owns drum sets, concert snares, a set of timpani, a mallet instrument, and plenty of auxiliary percussion. This means that I can teach my students hands-on with these instruments, preparing them better for the real world!
  5. Am I right for lessons?
    I have taught students as young as 5 and as old as 76.
    I have taught students who have never played an instrument before to students who already play professionally.
    I understand that everyone learns differently, and that some people want to focus on fun while others want a more serious approach.
    Basically, if you want to learn in any capacity, you are right for lessons with me!
    No matter what, I will always put my all into making sure that you get everything you want out of lessons!

How Scheduling Works

  1. Pick your preferred duration, then select an open slot generated from my Google Calendar.
  2. Submit your name and contact info so I know who is in that slot.
  3. My site will drop the event onto my private lesson calendar and send you a confirmation!
